Tracking activity

Activity lists your swaps and transfers, follows each one to the end and shows what to do when one needs you. Records live on this device, and you can rebuild them from the chain.

Where records live

Each swap and transfer is saved in this browser on this device, before your wallet is asked to send.

  • Connect your wallet to see its swaps and transfers.
  • Tracking continues if your wallet disconnects.
  • If this browser blocks saving, Cleave says History won't be saved. Keep this tab open.
  • If saving fails right before sending, nothing is sent.

On another device, or after clearing the browser, use the recovery tools below.

Status

Every row has a status:

StatusMeaning
PendingSent, not confirmed yet
Done or ReceivedFinished
Claim neededWaiting for you to claim on the destination
Action neededA retry or release is waiting for you
RefundedYour tokens came back
FailedThe transaction failed
Cancelled or ReplacedChanged in your wallet
Sent or Not sentSent but not tracked here, or never sent

A cross-chain transfer also shows its stage, from sending on the source network to receiving on the destination, and about how many minutes are left.

Pending for a long time

If a transaction stays pending, speed it up or cancel it in your wallet. Activity notices either. When a row is stuck, you can dismiss it, but only if your wallet shows nothing pending.

When a transfer needs you

The row shows a button for the next step:

  • Claim: finish on the destination network. Switch your wallet to the receiving account if it asks.
  • Retry delivery or Retry: delivery or the swap on arrival got stuck. Retry it on the destination network.
  • Release: the swap on arrival could not deliver, and the bridged token is held for the recipient on the destination. Release sends it to the recipient's address. Any connected wallet can send it.
  • Now swap: the bridged token arrived instead of the token you wanted. Swap it on the destination network.

You pay gas on the network where the step runs. If you have no native coin there, Cleave says so before your wallet opens.

Refunds

If a transfer is not filled before it expires, it is refunded to the sender on the source network. Timing varies. Some refunds arrive on their own; others show Claim your refund on the source network.

Recover your records

Use these on a new device, after clearing the browser, or when a transfer is missing:

  1. Fetch all transfers scans every network for your connected wallet. It brings back your transfers and any funds waiting to be claimed.
  2. Find a transfer takes a network and a transaction hash, and rebuilds that one transfer.

Funds waiting for you appear at the top as Claim your funds with a Claim button.

Approvals

With a wallet connected, Activity lists the token approvals Cleave uses on each network, with the amount or Unlimited. Tap Revoke to remove one. Your next swap with that token will ask again.

Report a problem

  • If Fetch all transfers finds nothing, Report a missing transfer sends us a report. It can need a quick human check first. Keep the support reference it shows.
  • Some problems show a Contact us link next to the message. It opens the contact form with the transaction and network filled in.
  • You can also write to us through the contact form.

When a transaction fails, or a transfer is delayed, refunded or held, the app can also send us a short report by itself, with details such as the networks and the transaction hash.
